After all, the necessity for a group of people to have to leave home for fear of persecution hardly gives rise to jubilation. Nevertheless, this year's hullabaloo was special because it also marked the 60th Anniversary of the 1951 Convention Relating to the Status of Refugees. Thus if anything, we ought to commemorate the international commitment to creating better human rights standards for refugees. Spend a day of frivolous learning with us as we bring you cultural performances from Burmese and Sri Lankan refugees. Step into our marketplace and buy the wares tinged with the distinct ethnic traits of the people from Sri Lanka, Burma, Pakistan and Somalia. All profits will go to the refugees themselves making this an excellent opportunity for you to extend some generosity to the refugee community in Malaysia. For those whose thought palette requires more reflective stimulation, come for our documentary screenings and hanging photo exhibition. Gain a better understanding of why they fled. Take the time to personally talk to the refugees and recognise them as fellow humans who have added to the Malaysia's diverse cultural backdrop. Don't miss out on this opportunity to experience little slices of the world brought by the refugee community.

| Daus Pengacara Musim Baru Intrend Posted: 26 Jun 2011 06:33 PM PDT Daus Pengacara Musim Baru Program Remaja, Intrend di RTM Mulai 9 Julai Ini Tampil dengan imej yang lebih segar, program majalah yang mengupas pelbagai isu berkaitan dunia remaja kini, Intrend kini kembali menemui penonton setia Radio Televisyen Malaysia (RTM) mulai 9 Julai 2011, setiap Sabtu, jam 3.30 petang di TV2 dengan menjanjikan segmen-segmen yang lebih santai dan penuh informasi. Malah program yang masuk musim keempat siarannya ini turut menampilkan kemunculan pengacara baru, Daus yang popular dengan lagu Kenapa bakal bergandingan dengan Mimie Haris yang kekal mengacarakan program terbitan Norhaslita Hasnan, Unit Majalah dan Dokumentari RTM ini. Tidak ketinggalan program ini masih mengekalkan pengacara lokasinya, Ean dalam 'menghidupkan' program ini.
Gandingan ketiga-tiga pengacara ini dilihat mampu menarik minat golongan remaja untuk terus menyokong Intrend memandangkan karektor dan personaliti mereka yang bersahaja serta ceria sesuai dengan gaya hidup remaja masa kini. Intrend memaparkan pelbagai topik berlainan setiap episod mengisi segmen-segmen yang ada termasuk Jom Santai, Jom Layan, Jom Tengok dan segmen Info atau Tips. Dalam segmen Jom Santai, penonton dibawa melihat aktiviti individu atau artis remaja yang sesuai dengan topik pilihan. Jom Layan memaparkan pelbagai pilihan Klip Video Artis Tempatan dan Antarabangsa disamping membawakan pratonton filem terkini di pawagam. Manakala segmen Jom Tengok pula berkongsi Aktiviti Remaja, Artis atau sesuatu Organisasi, Agensi mahupun IPT / IPTS secara berkumpulan yang berkaitan dengan topik mingguan. Segmen yang memberikan informasi kepada remaja tentang isu atau tips, Info atau Tips pula dilihat dapat membantu remaja yang disampaikan bersesuaian berkaitan topik yang diperbincangkan setiap minggu. Intrend musim baru ini menariknya turut menyediakan pelbagai hadiah hebat untuk penonton setia melalui kuiz mingguan Intrend. Antara hadiah yang ditawarkan termasuklah CD lagu-lagu terbaru, Voucher makanan dan juga Voucher untuk bermain di Taman Tema yang terkenal.
