The Boulevard, Publika, Malaysia Red Dot Design Museum, Singapore 20 By Two is a collaboration between Malaysia and Southeast Asia fashion portal Tongue in Chic and Singaporean social publishing platform FashionSpace. The project hopes to cultivate relationships and further opportunities for collaboration, whether between fashion houses in the region. As part of the exchange, Malaysian designers will be flown to attend the event in Singapore to talk about their work and vice versa. Tongue in Chic CEO Loo Jia-Wei said: "Urban markets in Kuala Lumpur and Singapore are so small, I think it's a great opportunity to look at fashion beyond our local markets, and into regional markets. Plus, it will be a great opportunity for the Malaysian designers to connect with their existing and new fans and expand beyond just Kuala Lumpur," Loo said. To offer a fashion experience that truly goes beyond borders, 20 By Two will run an online pop-up store in tandem with the two showcase events. The collections, including online-exclusive pieces, will be available for sale from 6 Sept to 20 Oct at 20bytwo.com. International shipping is available. MALAYSIA 1. Alia Bastamam SINGAPORE 1. Al & Alicia FASHION MEETS ART The fashion collections, which includes menswear, womenswear, jewellry and accessories will be presented as art installations in the spirit of bricolage, a postmodern assemblage of signs and symbols. The exhibit will take place in an unexpected space for as few as three days, thus reflecting the transient qualities of fashion. At the same time, these spaces, typically suited to housing works of high art and design, emphasise fashion's ties with not only other fields of design, but also its pervasiveness in the way we live. A NEW RETAIL EXPERIENCE • How do you receive discounts with your mobile phone? 20 By Two has enlisted the help of partners from around the globe to showcase the latest in fashion retail technology, whether it means shopping with a QR code or getting your clothing size using algorithms. FashionSpace Founder and CEO Danielle Siauw said: "As Asia's first fashion affiliate programme, we are always seeking to push the boundaries of what is possible for our local and indie fashion brands. Our brands often tell us that they struggle to take their brands to the next level and to go international. We have a great deal of talent here, but at some point, we felt that we needed to step in, and to use our technological savvy to help these local talents reach their full potential." visit 20bytwo.com About Tongue in Chic About FashionSpace For more info, visit fashionspace.com No tags for this post.Click on the following buttons to share this article with your friends: Baca artikel lain yang berkaitan: |
